Staff was so welcoming and extremely friendly and very fast with everything I ordered. Food tasted great too! Highly recommend!

We came late, 30 min before closing but were greeted and seated promptly. I was hoping to get some grilled fish but the fish they had is fried. I had a fish sandwich with fries, it tastes good but a little oily for me

Fish Took is a small establishment with fine food. I enjoyed 16 nice size, lightly breaded and deep fried shrimp with sides of coleslaw (vinegar base) and delicious lightly battered onion rings. Order was quickly taken and order was promptly served. I also observed they did a significant amount of take out orders. It's a five (5) star country eaterey.

Had the flounder special that evening, HUGE fillets cooked perfectly. Wife had the snow crab legs special, again, HUGE portions. Great place for fresh local seafood at good prices. Come hungry, leave fat and sassy.

Great spot on Harkers Island. Crab cakes were great, as were the fried shrimp. Friendly and accommodating staff. You don't have much to choose from on the island, but this place is no compromise. Will return and highly recommend to friends.

Great food service and staff

They take pride in their food and service and it shows. We had excellent fried flounder. They even sent us home with a fresh-baked warm sugar cookie on the house. Can l give 6 Stars?

When visiting the "down east" area, the Fish hook is always on our list for dining out. Great food, serving a lot of local fish and seafood when possible. Nice atmosphere, and good service! You won't be disappointed.

The best place to eat in the area. A choice locals choose regularly. Been here 3-4 times, great meals and service every time.

Travelers, this is a small and we'll done restaurant. The food is very good specializing in fried foods. The oyster po boys are delicious. Oysters were done perfectly, crispy and light. The fried okra was good too. We wish there were more baked or broiled choices on the menu. If you are harker's island it is worth the trip. Check it out. We recommend.

The staff is way beyond par! So friendly & kind. Very humble family setting as well. Heather is the bomb! Quick service. Amazing vittles! Chloe's the best. You have to get the shrimp with pretty much anything. I had the oysters and clam strips. Delicious! Split a plate of crawfish! All around a great place to bring a partner or the whole gang. Thanks again guys! We will most definitely be back & look forward to it! Cheers!

Great place to eat for lunch prices were fair and food was good

Food was great. Crab cakes were delicious. They service a lot of things that are not on the menu so make sure you ask. Service was wonderful. If you are in the area I recommend you try it.

We love their lunch shrimp special. We usually eat different places while visiting on Harkers Island . Not after eating their fresh shrimp. We ate there at least 3 times in a week . Can’t wait to enjoy some first of June !!

Good food, reasonably priced!

This place is awesome! The food was cooked perfectly and the prices were right. I really appreciated that the owners are taking the pandemic seriously, too. I will be back.

Great food at a reasonable price

Loved this place. One of our favorites for this trip. We got fried founder and fried clams, which were both amazing. The onion rings were particularly good. The waitress was so friendly, the atmosphere was relaxed and the portions were huge for the money. The seafood was very fresh and everything tasted great. We would absolutely go back here again!

Absolutely love this place. Food and service is second to none

Food was absolutely superb. Staff was excellent. Well pleased. Even though it takes me 45 minutes to get there it was well worth it. I will be back.

Stopped by this wonderful little gem this past Sunday. We didn’t know they’d be closing soon , but still welcomed us in with smiles. Lovely staff and delicious food to match. Hands down THE best burger ! My mom and son enjoyed their food just as much. You can tell they take pride in their restaurant. Can’t wait to go back!!

Oyster po boy sandwich delicious!!!

Food is great, and the service is wonderful. The young lady we had her name wad Jessica, couldn't have been a kinder person and very professional. We diffinetly will be returning.

Fried oysters were great, hush puppies too. Unique decorations!

Relaxed atmosphere, nice variety of food and drink

No seafood listed on the menu was available except fried shrimp. Asked if the could steam that since Carolina steamed shrimp was listed. They offered to boil it. No thanks. We left and found an excellent meal further down the road at Sea Side Galley.

Don't miss the Fish Hook Grill if you're in the area.My family and I got chicken fingers, steak sandwich, clam and shrimp platter, and a grilled cheese sandwich. All the food was expertly cooked with the steak sandwich being very flavorful and the seafood very fresh. Portion sizes were excellent, with none of us being able to complete our meal. Food was served promptly. Our waitress should also be mentioned as she did an excellent job all around. She was polite and friendly, easily interacting with the kids. Drinks were quickly refilled.We'll definitely be back on our next trip to Harker's Island.

We have been here a few times. Our most recent visit was a good one. Food was good and service was excellent. Flounder was good, but better flounder can be had at barbeque places back home (Johnny's in Rockwell, NC or Wink's in Salisbury NC has the biggest, best flounder).

On the way back from Cape Lookout we were going to stop at a different restaurant (across the street) but it was closed. So we saw this one opened and went in. Staff are friendly and helpful. We ordered crawfish and they came out whole and we were unsure how to eat them. The owner came out and showed us how to crack them open and eat them. Food was delicious (including the chowder and they're homemade desserts). This has become our new favorite restaurant in Harker's Island.

Great seafood! Everything was called perfectly and the portions were great as well. Also major points for making the experience safe during the COVID pandemic. They take proper safety precautions including masks, asking for orders to be called in ahead, and having safely distanced outdoor seating.

Excellent food and great service. The changing daily specials mean it's not the same old thing every day.

Got the shrimp dinner and it’s absolutely amazing...decided to split with my cousin. My mother got the mahi mahi and loved it. If you come over to the island you will enjoy it!💕

How many places can you have Hatteras style clam chowder, buffalo wings and hush puppies and everything be just right? Well, I know of one.
